Teaching is a second career for me, and I couldn't be more thankful that at 29, I went back to school. I feel like my new career is more than that...it is a calling. Don't get me wrong, there are horribly difficult moments and days, and I always look forward to breaks, but each day, I feel so fortunate to have a job that I love and feel so passionately about.

ReplyDeleteI'm a career-switcher, too, although I went from piano teaching to special education. It definitely makes me feel thankful for my position, even on the ridiculous days! Happy Thanksgiving! Jen
Thank you!! My first degree was in music. When I went back to school, I taught piano lessons on the side to help pay the bills!
DeleteHaving a job you love is AMAZING!!

My goodness...isn't that the TRUTH?!?
DeleteYou know what, teaching was never something I considered until I accidentally experienced it during my freshmen year of college. Sometimes it takes some of us some inspiration to find out passion and what we love to do in life.
